Introducing the Portfolio Builder
A resume gets you past a recruiter's first pass. A portfolio is what convinces them to actually reach out. VeriWorkly's Portfolio builder has been live in the product for a while now — this post is the proper introduction it never got.
What it is
Portfolio is a public website builder that lives alongside the resume/cover-letter editor you already know: a template gallery, a three-pane authenticated editor (structure, content, and a real live preview), a dashboard, and the published sites themselves — served at your own subdomain or a shared path.
Four templates, four different personalities
Templates aren't just color swaps. Each one is a genuinely different design language, sourced from a private template library and rendered server-side:
- Signal — structured and technical, for engineers and product leads. Dual dark/light theme, scroll-stacking project cards, a real local-time display in the hero.
- Atelier — expressive and editorial, for designers and creative builders. Print/magazine-style asymmetric masonry, serif headlines, flat cards.
- Nimbus (premium) — atmospheric and tech-editorial. Cursor-follow ring, per-character text-scramble hover, a marquee ticker — and deliberately no cards, shadows, or blur anywhere.
- Cipher (premium) — an interactive terminal emulator, complete with command autocomplete and a hidden matrix-rain easter egg.
The editor
A three-pane workspace — section list, content, live preview — autosaving every 12 seconds. It supports 18 different section types: projects, experience, education, services, skills, writing, testimonials, awards, certifications, languages, interests, publications, patents, test scores, achievements, volunteer, custom, and contact. Premium accounts additionally get multi-page portfolios, with dedicated Work, Writing, About, and Contact pages plus auto-generated detail pages per project.
Publishing
Free accounts publish at a shared path (portfolio.veriworkly.com/portfolio/your-slug). Premium accounts get a true custom subdomain (your-slug.veriworkly.com), enforced at the routing layer — not just hidden in the UI.
Where things stand today
The authenticated workspace — dashboard, editor, analytics, settings — is open to every logged-in user right now. You can build and preview a complete portfolio today, on any account. The one piece still opening up in stages is the publish button and checkout itself, as the launch path finishes getting validated end-to-end. Draft editing is unaffected either way.
